Swedish/Relaxation Massage (light and medium pressure)
Swedish massage is a gentle relaxing massage incorporating effleurage techniques (long slow manipulation) to soothe the body and mind. This massage is designed to ridding the body of toxins and aiding the immune system. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program of stress management.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is still a Swedish technique but effective because of its technique. It consist of slower, stronger massage that stimulates deep into muscles. This can be especially helpful for athletes who expose their muscles to daily, intensive conditioning. Deep tissue massage will noticeably loosen muscles, alleviate pain, and increase mobility, all significant benefits for an athlete. However, you don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy the benefits of deep tissue massage. Be advised you could and will mostly likely feel sore after a deep tissue massage, as if you had worked out but not in a long time. You may even feel a few days later like you are coming down with a cold. A deeper massage will break up the toxins in your muscles and bring them to the surface.
